Fango therapy refers to substances that come from mineral

and oceans. Pelotherapy or fango therapy is the use of mud

The
restorative power of thalassotherapy stems from the similarity
between seawater’s mineral composition and that of the
human blood plasma that feeds and strengthens the body’s
cells. Thalassotherapy focuses on the use of seawater and
marine derived substances including seaweed, algae, sea mud
and sand. Minerals and trace elements in seawater are believed
to have innate healing properties; seawater is heated to body
temperature to allow these to be absorbed into the body.
The
buoyancy one experiences when in saltwater is also beneficial
for rehabilitating the weak or for people recovering from
